Our qualified team recognizes the importance of customer service and the value of individualized care plans created to focus on the unique needs of our residents/patients and their families. We’re honored to provide support and help 365 days a year.

Our History

Our journey started with a very humble beginning in 1939, with a need, a concept and the creation of a small infirmary known as Revere General Hospital. From the very beginning, the infirmary was successful, and its small size did not limit the hospital’s reach or reputation as they cared for local residents.
As time progressed, the early 1960s presented an opportunity to expand services. The small hospital expanded into a two-story building that stretched an entire city block. In 1963, the newly renovated hospital proudly opened as the new Revere Memorial Hospital. Due to a struggling economy and changes in the landscape of healthcare, the hospital fell on hard times and closed its doors in 1968. In the early 1980s, hope was restored, and the hospital building was purchased and redesigned into a three-story nursing facility that commenced operations in August of 1986.
In 2014, a large addition and renovation were designed to expand our services to better serve the residents of Revere and surrounding communities. Our expansion goal was – and still is – to provide our residents and patients with enhanced amenities and accommodations, state-of-the-art rehabilitation areas, three-season porches, and an outdoor courtyard and walking path.
Lighthouse Nursing Care Center continues to provide the genuine level of care that started 75 years ago as a small community infirmary with a caring heart.
